In March 2017, NASA flew with ADVACAM technology to the International Space Station. Timepix detectors are USB-powered particle trackers, roughly the size of the palm of your hand. All power/data is done through two USB connections directly to a laptop. The goal of the project was to demo the capability of determining the directional characteristics of charged particle energy spectra in space.
