Oslo, Norway has become the ‘Mecca’ of radiation detection, hosting the prestigious iWoRiD conference now. Thanks to great organization by SINTEF.
It is great to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones to our community!
We’ve already had the pleasure of attending numerous compelling lectures delivered by our respected colleagues from a host of institutions, including the University of Oslo (UiO), European XFEL, Switzerland Innovation Park West EPFL, Centre for Medical Radiation Physics, INFN Torino, Catania, Université de Genève, Technical University of Munich, University of Maryland and many more. The event is teeming with almost 300 participants!
We are particularly pleased with the contributions from our colleagues at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center. They’ve presented riveting findings on measuring spill microstructure of medical synchrotron in primary and secondary ion radiation fields, using Timepix3 detectors.
