Advacam’s team in Finland has more than 10 years of experience in silicon sensor manufacturing and micropackaging technologies. 

 

Dr. Juha Kalliopuska is the CEO and a co- founder of the company and he is responsible for the administration and sensor fabrication. His background is in applied physics and microelectronics. Over the last 13 years he has been working on sales and product promotions from consumer electronics to high-tech components.
 
M. Sc. Sami Vähänen is the CTO and a co-founder of the company and he is responsible for the micro packaging activities. His background is in materials science and microelectronics manufacturing. Over the last 10 years he has been working at an imaging technology company with responsibility of micro packaging activities, at VTT as a hybrid integration expert, at CERN as a detector packaging consultant and cost optimizer and as a team manager of 3D integration technologies at VTT.
M. Sc. Jorma Salmi is the senior process engineer, who joined Advacam team in 2014. Jorma has 30 year experience in thin film development activities at VTT and he has been a key contributor in setting up the solder bump based flip chip process at VTT. Jorma has an extensive experience in electroplating and PVD processes. 
M. Sc. Akiko Gädda is a process engineer specialised on flip chip technologies including RDL layers having spin-on polymer dielectrics.
B. Sc. Kimmo Lavanti is a process engineer specialised in sensor manufacturing technologies. Kimmo is quality oriented persons and he has worked in organisations applying six-sigma quality system.
Mr. Mikko Suhonen is a process engineer specialised in electroplating processes.

Advacam utilizes the state-of-the-art clean room facilities at Micronova in Espoo, Finland, which includes 2,600 m2 of high quality clean room area.  Micronova is the leading microelectronics research facility in Nordic countries and run by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and Aalto University (former Helsinki University of Technology). Micronova is a National Research Infrastructure nominated by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The Micronova clean rooms are an open access facility, and the process/ measurement equipment located in the clean rooms are available for universities, research institutes and companies. Advacam is a technology spin-off company from VTT and nowadays the company runs production using VTT's process equipment. All the employees are  trained by the professionals to operate in the clean room environment and use the equipment.
